Detroit City Football Club will open its second season at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck on Saturday night with a friendly match against the Dayton Dynamo.

The National Premier Soccer League team also announced new Adidas kits, the first time they will wear Adidas uniforms.

Head Coach Ben Pirmann returns to DCFC for his fifth season at the helm. Pirmann has led Le Rouge to a 32-10-11 record in NPSL play.

Le Rouge has already played two friendlies this season, beating Sagniaw Valley State 3-1 on April 15 and topping Lawrence Tech 2-0 on April 30.

2016 was the first year that DCFC played at the historic Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck. The football club started a community investment campaign to raise $750,000 to start construction before the season last year on the 79-year-old stadium.

After playing at Cass Tech for years, the club needed more space as attendance kept climbing. For the first season in 2012, they averaged 1,295 fans, followed by 1,715 in 2013, 2,857 in 2014 and 3,528 in 2015 with total attendance of 29,743.

Last season, according to Boys in Rouge, the team average 5,208 fans per game with a total attendance of 52,550 fans throughout the season.

Their largest attendance came during the team's first game at Keyworth against AFC Ann Arbor where 7,410 people showed up to watch Le Rouge.

The game Saturday begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information including the entire schedule, visit detcityfc.com.
