ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — Detroit Lions General Manager Bob Quinn spoke to the media on Friday, letting everyone know that quarterback Matthew Stafford isn't going anywhere.

During a press conference, Quinn said, "Matthew Stafford is our quarterback. He will be our quarterback here."

He also said that he and the staff needs to work to put Stafford in better situations that will "allow him to use his skillset. Matt's extremely tough, he's extremely diligent in his work ethic."

Last week, Head Coach Matt Patricia also reaffirmed his commitment to Stafford, saying "Matthew Stafford’s an unbelievable quarterback. He’s our quarterback. He’s been fighting and battling and playing hard and leading this team throughout the entire course of the season. So, we’ll obviously just keep working and progressing and trying to grow and get better next year. Hopefully, we can do some things to help him."

Stafford will be entering the third year of a five-year contract that paid him $135 million.

During the press conference, Quinn talked about a number of other events over the course of 44 minutes. Check out the highlights below from Brad Galli.
