Brandon Pettigrew doubtful, Sammie Hill out for Lions finale

ALLEN PARK, Mich. - Brandon Pettigrew returned to the practice field for the first time since the Lions loss to Green Bay December 9, but all signs point to the tight end missing his third consecutive game Sunday.

Pettigrew (ankle) is listed as doubtful on the team's injury report for the season finale against the Bears.

The Lions defensive line will again be depleted Sunday. Sammie Hill (toe) is already listed as out for the game. Hill joins Nick Fairley and Corey Williams on the sideline.

Andre Fluellen will likely start in Hill's place.

Cornerback Chris Houston (hamstring/hip) and safety Louis Delmas (knee) are both questionable to play. Both have played through injuries the past two games.

Calvin Johnson, who missed Wednesday's practice with knee/ankle injuries, is probable for Sunday. He is continuing his pursuit of 2,000 receiving yards.

Safety Don Carey (knee) and running back Kevin Smith (thumb) are also probable.

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher is doubtful with a hamstring injury. Running back Matt Forte is probable.
