ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- During his weekly press conference, Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter was once again asked about the head coaching vacancy at his alma mater, Tennessee.

"Sounds like an interesting time down there, that’s what I make of it," Cooter replied when asked his thoughts on the ongoing search.

Tennessee was reportedly set to hire Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano over the weekend, but later backed out and still has yet to hire a replacement for Butch Jones.

Cooter didn't take the bait when asked by a reporter how he would fix the Tennessee coaching situation.

"Yeah, my solution is focusing on the Baltimore Ravens. Locked in, answering questions about Terrell Suggs, and worrying about him, and (C.J.) Mosley, and (Jimmy) Smith, and (Eric) Weddle and all these really good players they got.”

Cooter played college football at Tennessee, and began his coaching career with the Volunteers in 2007 as a graduate assistant.
