ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- The Detroit Lions announced 13 cuts on Friday in their first round of league-mandated roster moves.

DE Cam Johnson, CB Dexter McDougle, CB Sterling Moore were classified as vested veterans released.

WR Brian Brown, DT Josh Fatu, TE Marcus Lucas, T Jamar McGloster, LB Chad Meredith, G John Montelus, WR Teo Redding, DT Christian Ringo, and DE Jeremiah Valoaga were all waived.

Safety Marcus Cromartie was placed on injured reserve.

The NFL deadline to set a 53-player roster is 4 p.m. Saturday.
