Lions defensive end Ronnell Lewis was arrested this weekend on three misdemeanor complaints after an incident outside a bar in Oklahoma.
The second-year player from the University of Oklahoma was involved in an altercation with Herve Sivuilu, another patron of the bar, which led to police using their Tazers on both individuals.
The affidavit, made available to WXYZ by the District Court of Cleveland County in Oklahoma, describes Lewis as having red watery blood shot eyes and speech that was slow and thick.
Lewis was transported to Norman Regional Hospital and then transported to court and booked on charges of Disturbing the Peace, Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Process.
The Lions reponded to the charges tonight with a statement:
"We are aware of the incident. We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment."
Lewis was drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 draft and made two tackles in his rookie season.
