ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Detroit Lions made their last round of preseason cuts Saturday ahead of the league-mandated deadline to finalize their 53-man roster.
The team previously had to trim the roster to 75 players on Tuesday.
The following are players who have been released by the Lions:
OG Rodney Austin, CB Ron Bartell, FB Shaun Chapas, P Blake Clingan, DT Andre Fluellen, WR Corey Fuller, LB Chris Greenwood, T Kevin Haslam, LB Brandon Hepburn, S Tyrell Johnson, C/OG Darren Keyton, RB Steven Miller, DT Ogemdi Nwagbuo, DT Xavier Proctor, DT Jimmy Saddler-McQueen, OL Jake Scott, S Amari Spievey, LB Chris White, WR Matt Willis
Safety Martavius Neloms and linebacker Jon Morgan were waived injured.
Tight end Michael Williams was placed on the reserve/injured list.
Detroit opens the season September 8 against the Minnesota Vikings.
