There are certain images of Michigan State senior guard Bryn Forbes that Spartan fans are accustomed to see, namely the ball making a 'swish' sound from beyond the arc.

But there is an image more powerful, more meaningful to Forbes than any basket ever could be. The image of his 2-year-old son, Carter.

"He's my world, he's my best friend pretty much," Forbes said. "He's great. I don't know how else to explain it, he's probably the best thing that's ever happened to me."

There has been a lot of good in Forbes' life lately. He's currently the second best three-point shooter in the nation and is a key component in MSU's quest for a national championship.

Talk about pressure. The balancing act between being a student-athlete and a father has been a challenge.

"It's difficult but completely worth it. Most people probably feel overwhelmed or stressed to have a responsibility like that at this age but it doesn't feel like responsibility, I'm just enjoying it for what it is, he's my little blessing," Forbes added.

"It has been fun for me to watch him with his son once in a while, when he comes to senior night or comes to a game, I think he's a very caring and responsible dad, and I love to see that in my players," head coach Tom Izzo said.
