ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Jim Harbaugh thinks there's two ways to respond to getting punched in the nose on the playground.
"Two options only: swing back, fight back, or walk away," he told WXYZ's Brad Galli on Monday. "These are football fights each and every Saturday and respond."
The Wolverines are coming off a 42-13 defeat to No. 2 Penn State. The nation's top defense is no longer sitting atop the rankings of yards allowed. Two losses in Big Ten play have made clear the season is slipping away with Ohio State still on the schedule.
After the game on Saturday, quarterback John O'Korn told reporters "there's no fake love" anymore.
Asked what that meant, Harbaugh said it was in relation to his postgame speech.
"The only people that can help us are us," Harbaugh said. "The medicine is right here. It's in this locker room, this football program, and this staff. We get a lot of love and support and that is great, but what we control is what we control."
