A Detroit Tigers fan favorite, Kirk Gibson, is slated to be throwing out the first pitch on Opening Day.
The Tigers open on Friday, April 8 against the New York Yankees at 1:10 PM.
Gibson, was with the Detroit Tigers for 12 years and was the MVP in 1984 for the American League Central Series against the Royals. And had two home runs in game five of the World Series against the San Diego Padres.
