Michigan's story has grown from a group of guys who survived a scare on a plane crash to Big Ten darlings who won the conference tournament.

The latest chapter included wins over Oklahoma State and Louisville. The national spotlight? It's there.

Thanks to German-born forward Moe Wagner, that spotlight is stretching outside the 50 states.

"It's kind of absurd to be honest. I'm trying to stay off social media as much as I can," Wagner said on Tuesday.

Wagner said his phone has been buzzing with text messages from people back home in Germay he hasn't spoken to in years.

"It's crazy. It's cool, but I think it's important to get off that hype thing as well. We ain't done."

John Beilein has embraced the attention, and noticed a confidence boost in his team each time Michigan advanced in the Big Ten Tournament.

"I think these kids just said, 'Hey, if we go into this NCAA Tournament, we can play with anybody after the gauntlet (we) just ran,'" Beilein explained.

"Remember how hot Illinois was when we played them? And we showed up playing in practice uniforms, and we play like -- we might have played a couple games like we were the Golden State Warriors."
