Michigan revealed on Friday it was adding blue end zones to its football field for the first time in program history.

The Wolverines staff shared first glimpses of the new turf on social media on Monday, three days later.

The blue turf is part of a completely new surface at Michigan Stadium. The Wolverines had a grass field until 2003.

Michigan's social media posts have been quick to point out the program has played with blue end zones in bowl games, most notably the 1998 Rose Bowl.
