WXYZ — The NBA's plan of sending 22-teams to Orlando to finish the 2019-2020 season isn't favored by every player in the league.

On a players conference call on Friday, Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving spoke against the NBA's plan to send the leagues operations down to Orlando.

Irving is injured and wouldn't play if the season resumes, but on a call that included nearly 100 players and several stars, Irving was the loudest voice in asking players to make a stand and sit out the seasons restart. The call included several players suggesting they'd be willing to sit out the season -- and numerous more discussing social issues, league economics and, ultimately, a sense that they needed to be united in a decision.

Pistons star forward Blake Griffin told local Detroit reporters in a season recap zoom interview that he doesn't know if it makes a lot of sense for the eight teams not in the playoffs to travel to Orlando for scrimmages against the other non-playoff teams, citing health and safety of players and their families.
