Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi will get 1-year, $3.5M deal after arbitration

(WXYZ) — The Detroit Red Wings announced Monday that Tyler Bertuzzi will get a one-year, $3.5 million after the ruling of an independent arbitrator.

According to the team, the arbitrator heard the case on Sunday and issued the decision today.

The 25-year-old had a career year last season with career highs in assists with 27 and points with 48. He had 21 goals and played in all 71 games.

Bertuzzi had asked for $4.25 million and the Red Wings came in at $3.15 million, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. The arbitrator's decision
