According to an online report, Detroit may be in the running for one of Vince McMahon's 8 XFL teams.

It's been almost a year since Vince McMahon announced the return of the XFL, and the first eight-team cities are expected to be announced on Dec. 5.
According to the website Domain Name Wire, Detroit is one of 21 cities to have been registered with XFL related domain names. The report says "Yesterday the league registered a bunch of domain names for possible cities. The domains take the format of CityXFL.com, XFLCity.com and XFLCityAbbreviation.com."
This doesn't mean that Detroit will get a franchise, but it does appear as if our city is in the running.
