During the Michigan-Michigan State broadcast on ABC, play-by-play announcer Chris Fowler said that Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight has three fractured vertebra and is likely out for the year.

Speight was seen on the sideline during pregame with a brace on his back.

Speight was hit awkwardly during the Purdue game and left the contest.

John O'Korn started the game against the Spartans and looks like he will be the starting quarterback moving forward.
