Rocket Mortgage Classic: Your guide to Detroit's first PGA Tour event

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Rocket Mortgage Classic, Detroit's first-ever PGA Tour event, kicks off on Tuesday, June 25 from the historic Detroit Golf Club in the heart of the city of Detroit. 7 Action News and WXYZ.com will provide you coverage of the event all week long from the course and beyond with specials throughout the week.

Tickets
Tickets for Saturday only are sold out, as are "good for any one day" and week-long tournament passes. Fans can still buy tickets for single days on Tuesday - Friday and Sunday. Tickets are $10 for Tuesday, $15 on Wednesday, $40 on Thursday, $45 for Friday and $55 on Sunday. You can buy them at RocketMortgageClassic.com.

How to park
Those who are attending the event will park at the Michigan State Fairgrounds and be shuttled to the main tournament entrance. Parking will be $15 for Tuesday and Wednesday and $25 for Thursday - Sunday. Fans will enter on W. State Fair Ave. between Woodward and John R. and then board the shuttle to Detroit Golf Club, less than two miles away.

Those who have VIP parking will now also park at the fairgrounds, but enter off of Woodward Ave. between 8 Mile and State Fair Ave.

Who is playing?
The tournament has drawn some major names coming to Detroit, including Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Gary Woodland and many more. 10 of the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings will be in Detroit and seven Major champions.

Course layout
Detroit Golf Club was designed by legendary golf architect Donald Ross. They will play on the north course, with the exception of the first hole, which will be the first hole of the south course. It will play as a long par-72 with a length of 7,334 yards. You can take a hole-by-hole tour here.

Fan experiences
Fans attending the Rocket Mortgage Classic will be able to participate in a variety of experiences. It will have one of the largest fan zones on the PGA Tour which will take over the DGC members' driving range and a hole that won't be used in the tournament.

There they will find the Shot for Heroes, where fans can attempt a pitch shot to try and win money and other prizes, while also raising money or charity.

For kids, there will be face painting, pizza making, mini golf and a LEGO build your own golfer at the Rocket Mortgage Classic Learning Lab.

There will also be post-round entertainment at the LendingTree Lounge behind the 16th Green. On Friday after the competition, American country singer Willie Jones will perform, and on Saturday, Morris Day and the Time will perform.

Area 313
Area 313 will be the "signature holes" for fans and players at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. It will consist of the par-5 14th hole, par-3 15th hole and par-4 16th hole. It will feature stadium-style general admission seating for fans at the event.

If a player gets an eagle on 14, a hole-in-one on 15 and a birdie on 16, completing a 3-1-3 score in that stretch during the four days, they will win $313,000 to be donated to several youth-based charities in Detroit and one charity of the golfer's choice.

Plus, on Tuesday, Johnson, Fowler and Watson will compete in the celebrity challenge with the goal of getting a 3-1-3 score. The teams are:
