DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Lions reportedly have two candidates in the mix to become the team's next offensive coordinator. According to Alex Marvez, a SiriusXM NFL Radio host, Steve Sarkisian and Nate Hackett are the two men who could become the new OC.

Sarkisian has spent the previous two seasons at the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, and was also the head coach for Washington and USC between 2009 and 2015. In 2016, he was the offensive coordinator under Nick Saban at Alabama.

Hackett spent the last two seasons at offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was fired by the team in November, according to NFL Network.

The Lions fired former offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter on Jan. 1, and GM Bob Quinn said it would be up to Head Coach Matt Patricia to hire the new OC.
