The odds to throw a perfect game in bowling are about 11,500 to 1.

So the odds for two happening side by side? Not great.

It started with Darin Flores, who capped off his perfect game in front of the gathered crowd. He’s been here before, and was calm, cool and collected, as that was the 53rd time he’s reaching the bowling mountaintop.

“I didn’t even think about it,” Flores said.

But a lane over, Ashley Gluba didn’t quite feel that way.

“I had more pressure because Darin just did it and came over and gave me a high five right after he shot his and was like ‘get yours,’ Gluba recalled.

What happened next, was special. Ashley rolled perfection three days prior, but it wasn’t sanctioned, making this one all the more special.

“The fact that we both managed to carry at the same time was really, really memorable, I’ll remember it forever especially being my first one,” Gluba added.

“I’m happier for her, I’ve been here multiple times, I enjoy watching people get their first, second and get excited like that,” Flores said.

The two didn’t really know each other before the unique occurrence but now, have a great story to share as they continue to roll on.
