This is the Tigers team that's been through the highs of the season.

It's also the same squad, that's experienced all the lows.

It's now what they have for the long haul, as this is the setup management apparently feels can get them into the playoffs.

"The front office and the coaching staff have had our backs and have supported us since the beginning," catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia said.

"You look around and see what different guys have carried the ball club at different times, there's some chemistry that's been developed with some guys that have struggled and battled and then other guys have picked them up," catcher James McCann added.

Yet not all the Tigers see it as 'standing pat', Justin Verlander tweeted that the players returning from injury are just as good as making a deal, while Ian Kinsler, didn't really want to talk about it at all.

"It doesn't make any sense, (players returning from injury as 'new additions') they're already players on our team, they're injured, I hope they come back strongly," Kinsler said.

As far as those returning injured players Jordan Zimmerman and Daniel Norris still a bit away but manager Brad Ausmus said we should expect JD Martinez back in the lineup by the end of the White Sox series.
