Howell swimmer Hunter Gubeno was already an all-state swimmer, but was hoping to make his final state meet a memorable one, with state records in mind.
Royal Oak softball pitcher Jacey Needham was poised for her best year yet, and is disappointed that she won't get a chance to carry her team deeper into the postseason.
