As of 11 a.m., July 24, DTE Energy has restored power to the vast majority of the customers affected by the severe weather that moved through southeast Michigan Friday and Saturday.

As of 6 a.m., July 24, 14,000 customers remain without power in metro Detroit, according to DTE Energy.

The company says "many of the remaining 14,000 outages resulted from the most severe damage we’ve seen across the energy grid, and some are located in areas that are not easily accessible by our trucks and crews. Our continued goal is to restore all remaining outages by end of day."

As of 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, DTE Energy has restored power to more than 586,000 of the 600,000 customers affected by the severe weather that moved through southeast Michigan Friday and Saturday.

As of 8:45 p.m., July 23, 22,000 customers are still without power in metro Detroit, DTE says.

As of 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, DTE Energy has restored power to more than 547,000 of the 600,000 customers impacted by the storms and high winds that blew through southeast Michigan on Friday and Saturday. More than 1,100 DTE employees, 900 out-of-state line workers and 800 tree trimmers will continue to work 16-hour shifts around the clock until the remaining 53,000 affected customers are restored. We exceeded our goal of restoring 90% of customers before midnight, but there’s still work left to do. We expect the remainder of customers affected by the storms to be restored by end of day Wednesday.

As of 6:30 a.m., July 23, 91,000 customers remain without power in metro Detroit, according to DTE.

The company says it has restored power to more than 80 percent of the 600,000 customers impacted by storms that rolled through southeast Michigan Friday and Saturday.

As of 9 p.m., July 22, there are 140,000 DTE customers without power. Power has been restored to 460,000 customers since Friday. DTE aims to have 90 percent of customers restored by end of day Tuesday and the remainder restored by end of day Wednesday.

DTE has dispatched community vans to distribute ice and water to customers in communities that have experienced extended outages. The vans will be in Lincoln Park at the Kroger near Dix and Southfield Road; at Kroger on Michigan Avenue near Merriman Road on the Westland/Inkster border, and in Livonia near Costco at Middlebelt Road & I-96. The Community Crews will be at these locations until 3 p.m.
