It is certainly cold outside. We found lots of people who have to work outside despite the cold and one man who feeds the homeless every week - even on the coldest days, like today.

Nicole Harvey and Columbus Patterson work for the city of Romulus.

They are layered up - down to foot warmers, just like a utility worker in Southfield.

The cold is also not stopping workers who are washing cars.

And in Detroit, - there's a Jeremiah Chappell - who works even in the bitter cold to feed the homeless.

We followed him around the Cass Corridor as he handed out food, blankets and hand-warmers.

He's been doing it with his girlfriend every night for the last three-years. Today, he's making two-rounds.

And let's not forget about reporters and photographers who are also out in the elements - working every day, even when it's cold.

We bundle up and take breaks inside the truck when we can.
