FARMINGTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — Scot and Angela Pelc are the owners of Sidecar Slider Bar in Farmington and even though their business is down, they are still thinking of others.

“To quantify it though, we are down 75 percent,” said Scot.

Usually the Pelc’s offer free dine-in every first of the month for first responders. Instead, they will be bringing food to first responders, as well as those working at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills.

“They are doing all of the work right now, all of the work, and it’s so risky, and it is so dangerous," said Angela. "I’ve seen clips of nurses coming home, and they can’t even hug their kids, like it is heartbreaking."

Each Sidecar Slider Bar in our region is independently owned. Right now, the Farmington location is the only one staying open during a ban on dine-in options.

They are offering carryout options under reduced hours, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. everyday of the week.

People can place an order and have the food delivered to their cars curbside.
