(WXYZ) — The 4th of July is one week from today but the celebrations are already underway.

This week alone we’ve had the Ford Fireworks celebration and the fireworks at Rochester’s Festival in the Hills. They are both among the best in the area. But if you missed them, here are the seven best celebrations you can still catch in our Thursday’s Top 7.

7. Lake Erie Metropark (Brownstown Twp.)
Number 7 takes us downriver to Brownstown Twp. and Lake Erie Metropark! It’s right on the shores of Lake Erie and a great way to celebrate America’s birthday with family and friends! Look for it July 3rd.

6. Greenfield Village - Salute to America
We begin with Greenfield Village and “Salute to America." There is a drum parade, live music from the Detroit symphony Orchestra, live cannon fire and a grand fireworks finale! Check it out July 3-6.

5. Livonia Spree
Well, the highlight of the summer here in Livonia is the Livonia Spree – from the great food to the fun for the kids with rides. It is a great event for the whole family and it's capped off by amazing fireworks.

We met Pat at the Livonia Community Recreation Center. He’s a 20-year resident of Livonia and has great memories of enjoying the spree with his children.

“Wherever we’re at, you can pretty much get a good view of them,” Pat told 7 Action News Anchor Keenan Smith. “They're amazing! They're like one of the best finales that you'll see apart from the Detroit fireworks!”

Livonia’s fireworks light up the skies June 30th.

4. Hudson Mills Metropark
Hudson Mills Metropark’s fireworks display takes the 4th spot. It’s in Dexter. The fireworks go boom July 2nd.

3. St. Clair Shore Fireworks
Looking for some of the best fireworks in Macomb County? Check out the fireworks celebration at Veterans Memorial Park in St. Clair Shores on June 28th. It comes in 3rd.

2. Clawson 4th of July Fireworks
And the fireworks in Clawson are number two on our list. It has been going on every year since 1933, with the exception of one year during the war.

1. Lake Orion Dueling Fireworks
The top spot goes to Lake Orion’s Dueling Fireworks. The displays launch from two spots in Lake Orion, making viewing by boat a great way to take it all in. You can catch one of the country’s top rated privately-funded fireworks display in America June 29th!

Lake Orion’s Dueling Fireworks is the only dueling fireworks display in Michigan. And folks who have seen it say the dueling aspect take the show to a whole new level.

The only displays on our list are displays you can still see. The Ford Fireworks and Rochester’s Festival in the Hills were both earlier this week but they are terrific displays, but you’ll have to wait until next year to check them out.
