(WXYZ) -- The UFC will bring its "UFC 218" pay-per-view event to Little Caesars Arena on Saturday, December 2.

The announcement, which came on the same day as the announcement of October's WWE "Hell in a Cell" pay-per-view event at Little Caesars Arena, happened during Saturday night's UFC 214 pay-per-view.

An on-sale date for tickets will be announced at a later date.

This will be the first UFC event at Little Caesars Arena. The last pay-per-view event in metro Detroit was UFC 123 in 2010, held at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The last pay-per-view event in the city of Detroit was UFC 9 in 1996, held at Cobo Arena.
