DETROIT (WXYZ) - After a short flirtation with spring-like conditions, winter comes roaring back tonight. A powerful winter storm will move through the Ohio Valley, placing Metro Detroit in the path of heavy snow.
Although we are close to the start of the storm, there are still a lot of questions about the path and the exact lay out of the swath of heaviest snow.
With seasonably mild temperatures in the 40s today, the storm will start off as a rain maker, changing to snow. The timing of the change is one of the factors that will determine snow totals. A quicker change over adds to total snow accumulations. A slower change means lower snow totals.Read full story
