Arrabiata Sauce with Pierino Italian Sausage Ravioli
Ingredients
1-24 oz. package of Pierino Italian Sausage Ravioli(UPC 039106-275975)
Hot capicola- 2oz sliced and chopped
Red pepper flakes- 1tsp
Extra virgin olive oil - 2oz
Dried Oregano - ¼ tsp
Fresh garlic -1tsp, or 1 large clove thinly sliced
Shallots - 2oz minced
Fresh basil - 2 leaves
Romano Cheese- grated 2oz
12oz San Marzano Tomatoes Ground
Parmesan cheese for garnish
Salt to taste
In a hot skillet add oil, capicola, pepper flakes, shallots garlic and oregano. Stir until cooked (approx. 1min)
Add ground tomatoes, Romano cheese, stir and let cook for 3 min over medium heat.
Add thinly sliced basil and salt to taste
Cook Ravioli as directed on the package
When ravioli is finished cooking. Add the warm Arrabiata Sauce and lightly toss to incorporate.
Garnish with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and serve
