FERNDALE, MICH (WXYZ) — The Coronavirus pandemic is forcing many people and communities to get creative this Independence Day.
This includes the city of Ferndale, just outside Detroit, where a pop-up park is giving people more space to celebrate.
You may also notice increased law enforcement out and about this holiday weekend. The additional officers will be keeping an eye out for drivers who've too much to drink. They'll also be looking for bars and restaurants in defiance of Governor Gretchen Whitmer's executive order to shut down.
