Stage Deli shares recipe for homemade Granola

5 Cups Rolled Oats (not instant, organic preferred)

2 Cups Sliced or Chopped Almonds

½ Cup Honey

½ Cup Brown Sugar, packed

½ Tablespoon Cinnamon

½ Cup Vegetable Oil

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

½ teaspoon salt

1 Cup Dried Cherries

1 Cup Dried Mango

Preheat oven to 300°.  Combine all ingredients in bowl (except dried fruit) and combine well with rubber spatula.  Turn out mixture in a thin layer on a parchment paper lined baking pan.  Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.  Remove from oven and allow to cool.  Granola will get crisp as it cools.  Break up large pieces with hands, mix in dried fruit, enjoy!

Note:  The sweetened oats can be thought of as a blank canvass for any flavorings and add-ins you like.  Think ginger, maple syrup, coconut, cashews and any variety of dried fruit.  The granola is limited only by your imagination.
