(WXYZ) — It's a time to recognize some brave young men and young women who are going through a difficult time.
It's Teen Cancer Awareness Week and Wish Upon a Teen is trying to make things better for those battling cancer. The nonprofit, based in Birmingham, helps teens in 67 hospitals across the country.
Executive director Nancy Sovran, and two teens who have been helped by the non-profit, Molly Pratt and Destinee M. joined 7 Action News.
Wish Upon a Teen is holding an Amazon gift card drive for the Design My Room program, hoping to make teens feel at home during extending hospital stays.
