WXYZ — A newly formed nonprofit called FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) Metro Detroit has reached a major milestone - as it continues to go the extra mile for our front line heroes.

In just one month, the organization has provided more than 20,100 meals to 33 hospitals in Macomb, Oakland, Wayne and Washtenaw counties.

The meals were prepared and delivered by 50 restaurants, all stepping up to support the cause.

FLAG Metro Detroit raised $200K in four weeks through community outreach. The group still needs contributions to keep the meals moving.
