When his mother went to check on him, she realized he was gone. The family says he simply wandered off.
New video released by Detroit police showed Marcus ringing the doorbell at a neighbor's home at 7:52 p.m. Thursday. Police say he knew the people in the home. It appears he was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white shirt with gray sleeves and dark shoes. Marcus is 4-feet-2 inches tall and weighs 87 pounds.
Detroit Police Assistant Chief James White said they are also looking for a person of interest who was riding a red moped in front of the house. According to police, the person of interest was seen in the area, and that Marcus was talking and interacting with the person of interest and was seen sitting on the red moped.
We're told the child then returned to the home and the person on the moped left, but had some type of mechanical problem. An SUV then came to assist the person of interest while he was waiting for repairs and towed the moped away.
That person of interest is described as a black male in his mid 30s with medium complexion and a goatee. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket, Timberland boots, dark jeans and safety glasses.
