Two police officers are in the hospital after an early morning crash on Detroit's east side.
Crews were called to the area of Moross and Balfour around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Police say the man behind the wheel of a Chevrolet HHR drove through a stop sign and hit a police cruiser on the driver's side. The officers were reportedly responding to a home invasion in the 4800 block of Anderson at the time of the crash.
Both officers suffered cuts to the face and are listed in stable condition.
The driver has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated and was transported to the hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
