Ferndale prepares for 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise with road closures

FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Woodward Dream cruise is just around the corner. Preps are being made as we speak.

“I grew up here. I like watching it grow. I like watching what it has become,” said Carlos Kennedy, the director of Ferndale’s Public Works.

He says they are busy getting the city ready for everyone to have a fun experience at the Woodward Dream Cruise.

“Start street sweeping, cleaning up the sidewalks, Oakland County Road Commission is on site all day today helping us with road maintenance on Woodward.”

Parts of 9 Mile Road will start closing by Thursday morning as they get ready for car shows and live entertainment.

“Be safe and have a good time, enjoy the activity.”
