A 15-year-old girl is being investigated after reports of a student sending threatening texts.
A student at the Arts & Technology Academy told deputies she received texts from a randomly generated phone number which threatened to shoot up the school.
Through information from other students, the victim discovered that a ninth grade student who attends the same school was responsible.
When confronted, the teen admitted that she sent the text messages. School administrators contacted the Oakland County Sheriff's Office to make a formal complaint.
She also admitted to detectives that she had sent the text messages. Deputies searched her family's residence and no weapons were found inside the home.
Police say the incident is under investigation.
