25 Mile Road reopened in Shelby Township after accident caused downed power lines

SHELBY TWP., Mich. (WXYZ) - Police have reopened lanes at 25 Mile Road between Parkview and Washington following an accident and downed power line. 

Shelby Township Police posted on Facebook around 5 p.m. that the road had been reopened.

The closure spanned about a quarter of a mile west of Shelby Road and was closed due to an accident that caused a downed power line. 

DTE Energy was on the scene. Repairs were estimated to take roughly eight hours. 

Drivers were asked to avoid the area until repairs were completed.
