25 Mile Road reopened in Shelby Township after accident caused downed power lines

Police have reopened lanes at 25 Mile Road between Parkview and Washington following an accident and downed power line. 

Shelby Township Police posted on Facebook around 5 p.m. that the road had been reopened.

The closure spanned about a quarter of a mile west of Shelby Road and was closed due to an accident that caused a downed power line. 

DTE Energy was on the scene. Repairs were estimated to take roughly eight hours. 

Drivers were asked to avoid the area until repairs were completed.
