AAA Michigan reports that the statewide average daily gas price rose above the $3 mark for the first time in nearly three years.
The last time it rose above $3 was in August 2015.
Michigan's current daily statewide average is about $3.02 per gallon, about 63 cents more than this same time last year.
According to the latest reports from AAA, Michigan is ranked eleventh in the nation for most expensive average daily gas price and first in the nation for biggest change in average weekly gas price.
