After a week, and a lot of complaints, residents in Dearborn Heights are feeling some relief after repairs have been underway for a pole left leaning on power lines.

But members of the community are saying it should never have taken DTE Energy a week to fix such a dangerous situation.

At the corner of Wilson and Amboy, near Beech Daly, drivers have had to pass under the pole that was left leaning against power lines following an ice storm that hit southeast Michigan just over a week ago.

DTE crews began repairs on the pole around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
