Anchor Bay High School students were released early Friday after an anonymous report of a threatening statement.
A full investigation by law enforcement is in progress with a threat assessment.
School officials say they take all threats, even if the child is joking, very seriously.
The administration is asking parents to talk to their children about the importance of avoiding making these type of statements.
