Fire ripped through a Pontiac apartment building on Tuesday morning, forcing 20 people from their homes.
It started around 5 a.m. at the Deville Apartments in Pontiac. Flames were shooting out of the third floor windows and firefighters evacuated the building. They were able to eventually put out the fire.
A church next door, Hopewell Baptist, reached out to help and opened their doors to those who were just forced out their homes.
At this point, there's no word on how the fire started.
