A City of Detroit employee has been accused of embezzling more than $265,000 in funds from the city.
The felony complaint was filed Thursday in the United States District Court Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division.
Masharn Franklin was an employee in the city's payroll and audit department when from April 2016 until about November 2017, Franklin allegedly stole the money totaling $265,573.
