A 21-year-old Detroit man was arraigned in connection with the shooting of an 8-year-old girl.
Damond Reeves was charged with four counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and five counts of Felony Firearm.
He received a bond of $200,000.
The girl, identified as Kaya, was shot at a gas station on the city's west side Friday morning.
Police say Reeves was allegedly asking customers for cigarettes, and said "it was about to go down" if he didn't get them.
Kaya was shot in the arm but is expected to be okay.
