The 2018 schedule of free summer park events in the city of Detroit has been announced.

The Downtown Detroit Partnership and the City of Detroit announced the full schedule of free concerts, beach parties, shopping, dining, fitness and family fun events.

“Downtown Detroit’s parks and public spaces are ready to host another season of free, world-class programming this summer,” said Robert Gregory, chief planning and public space officer of the Downtown Detroit Partnership. “We’re bringing back crowd favorites like the beach parties and movies at Campus Martius Park, in addition to innovative new programs including Sunset Sessions with Sound Cream Airstream at Beacon Park. There is something for everyone.”

According to a release, DTE Energy Beacon Park Foundation will present a three-concert series at Beacon Park kicking off on June 16, with shows continuing on July 21 and Aug. 18.

In addition to the concerts, Beacon Park will host weekly summer events beginning Friday, June 8.
