Former Attorney General under President Obama, Eric Holder, was in Detroit stumping for the Democratic candidates for governor and secretary of state. Holder also talked about being the target of mail bombs sent to several prominent Democrats on a national level.
“I have adequate security,” Holder said.
The investigations are underway with the FBI, ATF and Postal Inspectors. Holder says he has great faith in those agencies.
He called it disturbing that “violence, or the potential, has somehow entered our political environment. So that’s disturbing.”
He added, “You can’t let problems like this impact your public life.”
We asked if one of these bombs went off, would his viewpoint change. The political staff cut off the discussion with the media before Holder could answer.
