Family and friends are rallying around a father of four who's facing deportation to Mexico.
Juan Carlos Puentes-Martinez has been in ICE detention since May 29.
His loved ones hand delivered a petition to the ICE field director's home in South Lyon asking her to release him.
The petition gained more than a thousand signatures in less than 48 hours.
Puentes-Martinez was detained outside a business in Imlay City during a shopping trip with his family.
He can be denied an opportunity for a judge to consider his case because of a previous deportation case.
