MGM Grand Detroit says the all-clear has been given after a two-alarm fire reported on Wednesday morning.
Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell said the Detroit Fire Department was called to MGM at approximately 8:40 a.m. for a report of an odor of smoke in a dining area.
Officials say the fire was near the Palette Dining Studio, and occupants have been evacuated. Extra firefighters were called to the scene to assist.
The casino and hotel is back open but the Palette Dining Studio will remain closed until clean up is complete.
