Former Detroit deputy police chief Celia Washington was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison for bribery.

Washington admitted to accepting $3,000 from Detroit towing titan Gasper Fiore. A federal judge accepted her plea deal in January, where she plead guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Bribery, a five-year felony.

Washington was a civilian deputy police chief until she resigned last summer.
