A former Addison High School teacher is suspected of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student when employed at the school nearly 30 years ago, according to Michigan State Police.
Patrick Hickey, 54, was an English teacher and girls basketball coach from 1986-1990.
Hickey was charged with three counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct. Police say he turned himself in on Wednesday and was arraigned in Adrian.
He was released on a $25,000 bond and was ordered not to have contact with anyone under the age of 16 or the victim.
Police say he resigned from Addison High School in 1990, but went on to teach at several schools in Ohio, and later became Superintendent for Ohio's Washington Local School District.
