A Grosse Pointe Park family of four was killed in Colorado following an overnight crash.

Thomas Toth, 48, and Christina Daskas-Toth, 48, and two girls aged 8 and 11 were in Colorado for spring break.

Authorities said the crash involved a semi that jackknifed, blocking the entire eastbound lanes of the I-76 highway.

Police say the vehicle hit the semi and went underneath it; the crash took off the top of the car.

All four died at the scene.
